Goodnight, Texas (formed in 2010) is a band “whose strength lies in unexpected sweet spots,” according to their website’s bio.
Drawing their name from both Patrick Dyer Wolf and Avi Vinocur’s one-time geographic midpoint (the real town of Goodnight, TX—a tiny hamlet east of Amarillo), the four-piece also exists at the center of its songwriters’ contrasting styles.
With a Gibson mandolin from 1913 and a modern day Danelectro guitar, both frontmen meet at the crossroads of folk, blues and rock ‘n’ roll; in a place where dry wit and dark truths meet hope and utmost sincerity.
