An English-born actress and singer, best known for originating the title role in London’s Mary Poppins, Laura Michelle Kelly has been on the West End’s stage since 2000, appearing in Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables and My Fair Lady.

She made her Broadway debut in a revival of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004, also marking the beginning of her career with Mary Poppins.

Kelly earned rave reviews for her role in Mary Poppins, winning herself the 2005 Oliver Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She reprised her role again in 2009 on Broadway (replacing Scarlett Strallen), took a brief absence to shoot a film, then gave her final performance in 2011.

In June of 2014, Broadway.com announced that Kelly would star opposite of Matthew Morrison as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in the world premiere of the new musical Finding Neverland. She stayed with the production from its opening on April 15, 2015 until August 21, 2016.

Kelly recently began a tour of The King and I starring as Anna Leonowens.
