(1916-1997) An American actress and soprano vocalist, she is best known as the original voice of the title character in the 1937 Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Despite her significant role in the iconic movie, she was under contract with Walt Disney and was prevented from appearing in future films and other media for many years, including Disney projects.
