The Idan Raichel Project is Israeli musical group led by Idan Raichel.

On November 2002 they released “Bo'ee”, the first single from the project’s debut album, that included integration of Hebrew and Amharic and arranged by Raichel in common with the Israeli singer Ivri Lider. The song arrived to the top of the record charts and was played a lot in the radio stations. When the single was released, the album wasn’t completed but the positive reviews that it received influenced Raichel on working intensively on the album, which released three weeks after the single.

On December 2002 the project released their debut album, Haproyekt Shel Idan Raichel. The album was certified as x4 platinum when it got 150,000 sales. Most of the album songs written by Idan Raichel and arranged by Idan Raichel and the Israeli drummer Gilad Shmueli. Following the album, The Idan Raichel Project won the title “Group of the Year” in the various annual charts. Since, every album of The Idan Raichel Project was certified multi platinum.

On January 2005 they released their second album, Mi'ma'amakim, more than 20,000 units was sold in the first 2 days of the album release. The album was certified x4 platinum with 140,000 sales.

The Idan Raichel Project continued to release wonderful and successful albums such as Bein Kirot Beiti (2008) and Reva Leshesh (2013) which got many praises and certified multi platinum also.
