Artist

Boot Camp Clik is a hip-hop supergroup that hails from Brooklyn, New York. The collective originally consisted of eight members, including Buckshot, Steele, Tek, Starang Wondah, Louieville Sluggah, Top Dog, Rockness Monsta, and Sean Price before he passed away in 2015.

B.C.C. contains smaller groups within it. Tek and Steele are Smif-N-Wessun, Top Dog, Louieville Sluggah, and Starang Wondah are Originoo Gunn Clappaz, and Rockness Monsta and Sean Price formed Heltah Skeltah. Additionally, groups O.G.C. and Heltah Skeltah form The Fab 5.

Buckshot gained fame in the group Black Moon with 1993’s Enta da Stage. The album was fully produced by Da Beatminerz, and solidified Da Beatminerz as Boot Camp Clik’s go-to production unit. Buckshot’s early status and accomplishments in Black Moon, and then through the ensuing Boot Camp Clik and Duck Down projects, was instrumental in getting the rest of the B.C.C. signed.
