Artist

Kim Jooyoung (김주영) is a South Korean singer-songwriter currently signed to Sphere label.

He debuted under the label Realcollabo on October 11, 2010, with a cover of George Benson’s “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You.” After a successful digital single and mini album, Jooyoung became a staple guest on other artists' songs, showcases and concerts.

The artist garnered mainstream success when he left Realcollabo in 2013 and joined Starship Entertainment’s subsidiary label, Starship X, in 2014. His features from this time were met with critical acclaim, as on HYOLYN’s “Erase.”

He also participated as a judge on Starship’s idol survival show, No.Mercy. On August 27, 2015, he released a double title track digital single album, 3, following which, he enlisted for his mandatory military service.

He completed his service in February 2018, and released his EP, Fountain as a surprise. The album featured many popular songs such as “Planet Girl” and “Wine.” In the same year, he participated in the Mnet show, Breakers, and dropped the double single album N/A.

In 2019, he released Pure Happiness, followed by Door in 2020, his last multi-single project under Starship X before he left in 2021.
