Kurt Travis, born on January 16, 1984, is an American, rock singer/songwriter based out of Sacramento, California. Currently, he fronts the experimental rock band Royal Coda which is also based in his hometown. He is well-known in the rock community for his role as the clean vocalist for progressive, rock band Dance Gavin Dance as well as a member of the post-hardcore group A Lot Like Birds, where he contributed vocals and some writing.

Travis' vocal style is something of a mixture between a softer, rhythm and blues influence and a harder, more unflinching pulse—akin to Cedric Bixler (of At The Drive-In)—when he chooses to perform harder material, such as his feature in Amarionette’s “Get It Right”.
