Justin Lewis Scott (born August 26, 1986), better known by his stage name Big K.R.I.T. which stands for King Remembered In Time Is an American rapper and record producer hailing from Meridian, Mississippi.

He started his career in 2002 when he was still a teenager with the release of his first mixtape Dirty Thirty which he produced all by himself. Over the next years he would go on to release multiple mixtapes like See Me on top, See Me on Top II, Hood Fame: King of the Queen, See Me on Top III, and The Last King.

K.R.I.T’s strong work ethic and lyrical skills got recognition in 2010 when he dropped his mixtape Krit Wuz Here. The mixtape ‘s lead single “Country Shit,” was remixed by rappers Ludacris and Bun B who would later collaborated on other songs with K.R.I.T. in 2011 and charted on Billboard. In the same year, K.R.I.T got signed to Def Jam Recordings and was on the XXL 2011 Freshmen List. He then went on to release his mixtape Return of 4Eva which like the rest of his projects was self-produced.

A year later and after he dropped 4 more mixtapes K.R.I.T released his debut studio album Live from the underground in June 2012. The album peaked at number 1 on US Billboard Top Rap Albums and number 5 on The US Billboard 200 Chart.

In 2013 K.R.I.T. released his next mixtape King Remembered in Time which featured rappers such as Future, Wiz Khalifa, and Bun B. The following year K.R.I.T. released his second studio album Cadillactica. This album featured production from Rico Love and Terrace Martin, which was a change of pace, since K.R.I.T’s past projects were all self produced.

By 2015, K.R.I.T. had released 4 more mixtapes, and in 2017 he released his eighth full length project 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time half of which was directly produced by Scott. This album was K.R.I.T.’s first release under his own label Multi Alumni. 2 years later, in 2019, K.R.I.T. released his tenth full length project and sequel to Krit Wuz Here, named K.R.I.T IZ HERE. This album followed K.R.I.T’s EPs THRICE X, TDT, Double Down, and TRIFECTA.
