Artist

Margo Elaine Simms, better known under the mononym Margeaux, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and fashion designer. Besides her music career, she is also known for her appearance on television shows Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

Born in Toronto on August 3, 1985, she first pursued her music career in 2004 while still attending the Ryerson University, where she studied fashion design. After relocating to New York City, NY with the intention of becoming a fashion designer, she formed a music group called Test Drive (along with her boyfriend and music collaborator Nikko London) and decided to start a career as a professional musician instead. After their unsuccessful record deal with Universal, Margeaux moved to Los Angeles, CA, and began working on her solo material. She released her debut EP Animal House in 2010 and worked on several music projects with London before she returned to New York City.

Prior to her being cast on the television show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Margeaux worked as a bartender at Webster Hall. In 2015, she joined the cast of the fourth season of the show, alongside her husband Nikko London, whose sex tape scandal with Mimi Faust was the main subject of the season. Margeaux’s song “Start a War” was prominently featured on the show.
