Apink (에이핑크) is a South Korean girl group formed by IST Entertainment. Apink consists of five-members, Yoon Bomi, Jeong Eunji, Oh Ha-young, Park Chorong, and Kim Namjoo.
Originally as a seven-member group, they debuted on April 19th, 2011 with the EP Seven Springs of Apink, along with the title track “I Don’t Know” (몰라요; “Mollayo”)
On April 23rd, 2013, IST Ent. announced that member Yookyung would be leaving the group to focus on her studies, making Apink a six-member group.
In October 2014, they released their first Japanese-language single, “NoNoNo.” Their first music program win was on M Countdown on January 5th, 2012, for “My My” from their second mini-album Snow Pink.
Apink has won more than 33 music awards and more than 29 music program awards. The group has won awards at shows such as the 26th Golden Disc Awards, 21st Seoul Music Awards, and 13th Mnet Asian Music Awards.
On April 8th, 2022, Son Naeun shared a handwritten letter on Instagram in which she revealed that she had decided to part ways with Apink, leaving Apink as a five-member girl group.
