Leonard “Hub” Hubbard (1958/1959-2021) was an American bassist from Philadelphia, PA, best known as a band member of The Roots from 1992 to 2007. He left the band after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, that eventually took his life on December 16, 2021.

He used to have a chew stick in his mouth, both on and off the stage.
