Lee Sun-mi (born May 2, 1992), better known mononymously as SUNMI, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer and a former member of the South Korean girl group Wonder Girls. She made her solo debut on August 22, 2013 with the single “24시간이 모자라 (24 Hours).”

As a soloist, SUNMI has released her debut EP titled, Full Moon in 2014 which was supported by successful singles and collaborations with artists like GOT7’s Jackson Wang.

Following the official disbandment of Wonder Girls, SUNMI released her most successful single titled, “가시나 (Gashina)” in 2017 garnering over 1M digital downloads by the end of the year for which she won “Song of the Year – August” at Gaon Chart Music Awards.

In 2018, SUNMI followed up “Gashina” with her hit single “주인공 (Heroine)” and her sophomore EP, Warning supported by the lead single, “사이렌 (Siren)”. In support of the EP and growing popularity, SUNMI embarked on her first world tour visiting 18 cities in USA and Europe in 2019. The same year, SUNMI released 2 digital singles, “Noir” and “날라리 (LALALAY).”

On February 6, 2020, SUNMI released her digital single “보라빛 밤 (Pporappippam)” and on August 12th, the duet “When We Disco” with J. Y. Park, both of which became viral hits in South Korea.

In 2021, SUNMI released her third mini album 1/6 (One Sixth) with the lead single “You Can’t Sit with Us.”. In 2022, SUNMI released her single album 열이 올라요 (Heart Burn) and embarked on the ‘2022 SUNMI Tour 'Good Girl Gone Mad’ with dates in Europe and America.

As a soloist, SUNMI has won various Korean music programs and major awards like Best Dance Performance – Solo for her song, “Full Moon” and Best Female Artist for “Siren” at Mnet Asian Music Awards.
