Ian Stewart

Artist

Ian Stewart (1938–1985) was a co-founder and the keyboardist of The Rolling Stones until he was removed from the band in 1963 by their manager. Despite this, he remained as the band’s road manager until his death.

He contributed his keyboard work on most Stones albums from 1964 to 1986, mostly on boogie-woogie or blues tunes such as “Honky Tonk Women”, “Let It Bleed”, “Brown Sugar” or “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)”.
