Artist

Mission of Burma was a post-punk band from Boston, Massachusetts that formed in 1979. The band consists of Roger Miller (guitar), Clint Conley (bass), and Peter Prescott (drums). All three members shared singing and songwriting duties.
The band got its name from a plaque Conley saw on a New York City diplomatic building.

In 1983, Mission of Burma disbanded due to Miller developing tinnitus. Over the course of these four years, the band released an E.P., Signals, Calls, and Marches (1981), an album, Vs. (1982), and two singles.

In 2002, the band reunited and began releasing new music which turned into four more albums: ONoffON in 2004, The Obliterati (originally titled Aluminum Washcloth) in 2006, The Sound the Speed the Light in 2009, and Unsound in 2012.

On April 25, 2016, the band played what became its final show at a club in Berlin.
