Dylan Housewright (a.k.a. AVRY) is a 20 year old singer/songwriter/musician from Sacramento, CA. From a young age Dylan knew he had a huge passion for music. He would always run around the house and even around his school singing and dancing until someone yelled at him to sit down and shut up. From a young age he was used to performing in front of people all the time. He would perform in talent shows, school plays, and he played the drums at a local church for the worship team. As time went on Dylan decided he wanted to be a rock star and learn how to play the guitar. After a few years of teaching himself to play, he decided it was time to sing and perform in front of people at the church. He became the church youth worship leader who would direct the entire team on the dynamics of the songs, and this carried on for a few years. Eventually Dylan decided he wanted to travel the world playing music and spread a positive message. After a few failed attempts at starting a band, Dylan and his best friend Taylor were introduced by a mutual friend to two other musicians who formed the hard rock band The Seeking. After only playing 5 shows in their local scene they picked up a team of managers who within a matter of a few months got them a record deal. Dylan was with The Seeking for about 3 years where he got to tour the entire US. Dylan eventually realized the music he was playing just wasn’t what he was passionate about. His passion was always more in mainstream pop, pop rock, & R&B music, and wanted to play a part in evolving music. Dylan has been songwriting for about 5 years now and is continuing on honing his craft and developing his skill. Dylan has big dreams of playing a show to a sold out Madison Square Garden and with his strong worth ethic and drive he plans on making that dream a reality someday. Keep an eye out for this artist because this guy won’t sit quietly, he’s going to take the world by storm. – courtesy of AVRY’s Facebook
Housewright later joined the famous CEDM group Capital Kings, replacing singer Jon White, who would later start his solo career as Nevada.
