Melanie Chisholm’s success spans music, theatre, and television. Chisholm first rose to fame as “Sporty Spice” of the British girl group Spice Girls in the mid- to late-90s. After three albums, the group disbanded. She released two solo albums, including her debut Northern Star which is the best-selling solo album of any of the former Spice Girls, before creating her own label, Red Girl Records, in 2004. She has since released 5 more albums on her label. Chisholm was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award in 2010 for her work in the musical Blood Brothers and played Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. She has also served as a judge on Asia’s Got Talent and Superstar, and as a mentor assistant to help fellow Spice Girl Mel B on X Factor Australia.
