Nacio Herb Brown

Ignacio Herb Brown (1896-1964) started writing songs for Hollywood films in 1928, where he was frequently paired with lyricist Arthur Freed. When Freed became a producer of musical films, he used the songs he wrote with Brown to form the score of Singin' in the Rain.
