David Byrne announced that he had recorded a cover of Paramore’s “Hard Times” on March 5, 2024, as a response to their cover of Talking Heads‘ “Burning Down the House” for A24’s Stop Making Sense tribute album, Everyone’s Getting Involved. The cover was released as a 12" single on April 19, 2024 for Record Store Day, with Paramore’s “Burning Down the House” cover as a B-side.
