Filipino-American rapper “apl.de.ap” of the Black Eyed Peas and Korean singer-actress “Sandara Park” have released their collaboration song.

On March 8, the two artists dropped their single “2 Proud” and its accompanying music video, directed by Ben Mor, on YouTube.

“2 Proud’ is available on Apple Music and Spotify.

According to Apl.de.Ap, “@krungy21 [Sandara] and I have wanted to work together for years.”

“We had been kicking around songs that could possibly work, and wouldn’t you know, during the pandemic we finally got the track. I love it and I hope you do too,” he posted on X.

Sandara, former member of 2NE1, said it was 2020 when she and Apl.de.Ap first talked about working together. However, the Covid-19 pandemic came and she had no choice but to record her part and shoot the music video in South Korea.

Fyi. I don’t have that much exposure in the video of 2proud It was 2020 when we 1st talked about this collaboration and apldeap asked me to go to LA to record the song and shoot the video,” she wrote on X.

She added, “I was super!!!!! Excited!!! BUT.. u know.. that was the time pandemic started and I couldn’t go out of country.”

So I had no choice but to record it in Korea and shoot the video in a chroma key and send them to apldeap. And that’s how we made this music!!!” Sandara explained.

According to her, “It was not easy process but I really love the song! And it came out really nice. I love Apldeap’s music so much, Hope you guys will like it too! so happy to finally release it!!!”

Apl.de.Ap told Sandara that they should perform “2 Proud.”

“We need to perform this soon. Where should we go first? #2Proud,” he said.

She replied, “Oh my god!!!! where should we go!?!???”
