Baby Can I Hold You

Baby Can I Hold You

Tracy Chapman

The third single released from Tracy Chapman this song has been covered on multiple occasions. Most successfully by Neil Diamond for his album The Best Years of Our Lives and also by Boyzone (which reached number 2 in the UK singles charts). It was then released again by Boyzone member Ronan Keating after the break up of the group.

This song sees a change in tone for the album as it is more focused as a love song than social commentary. In this Tracy tells her lover that all she needs to do is treat her well, to say sorry and to love her, and everything will be ok.
