This song is against guns and the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, which protects the right to bear arms for civilian militias. Dave Mustaine has since then changed his views on guns and is now a supporter of the Second Amendment.

The song was originally written for the 1993 album ‘The Beavis and Butt-head Experience’ and was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 1995 Grammy Awards. The fact that the Grammy Awards would nominate a 2 year old song and the fact that they gave the award to a grunge song that year gives you an insight in how little the Grammy Awards care for metal and other less mainstream genres.
