Accolade II is a sequel to the song “The Accolade” from the band’s 1997 album The Divine Wings of Tragedy.
The lyrics follow up on the “story” from the first Accolade, with the knight’s son continuing his battle. The song also retains some of the original’s musical themes, which can be heard in the intro or during the interlude in the middle of the song.
