Foolin’ Around

Foolin’ Around

Cherrelle

“Foolin' Around” is a track included on Cherrelle’s 1988 Affair album as a CD bonus track in the United States, and as a B-side on certain UK pressings of a 1990 “Saturday Love” remix single.

Though the track was not produced by Cherrelle’s usual team of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, she stuck close to that Minneapolis family of musicians drafting former The Time-member Jellybean Johnson for the job.

Lyrically, it fits the Affair album’s infidelity theme by having the “DTR” talk with a lover who may have found someone else.
