Mama, I’m Coming Home

Mama, I’m Coming Home

Ozzy Osbourne

“Mama,” Ozzy’s pet name for Sharon Osbourne, the mother of his children as well as his wife and manager, was the inspiration behind this song’s title—at the end of each tour, he tells her, “Mama, I’m coming home!” The song and its title were handed to Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister who wrote the song about missing home and returning, despite the dark history one has had there.

Aside from his duets with Lita Ford (1989) and Post Malone (2019), “Mama, I’m Coming Home” is Ozzy’s only top 40 hit in the US. It also found moderate success in several countries including the UK.
