Most songs in AMOK get little attention individually, as it is a collection of recordings gathered through a span of two years of jam sessions mixed with Thom Yorke’s and Nigel Godrich’s beats and sounds.

The lyrics of “Reverse Running” give the impression of being, more than for any other song on the record, a song about the beat itself. “It doesn’t mean anything, a meaningless plaything”. It’s about a trance with the music.
