Can’t Get You Out Of My Head

Kylie Minogue

“Can’t Get You Out of My Head” is a song recorded by Kylie Minogue for her eighth studio album Fever, released as the lead single from the album.

The song finds Minogue expressing her love obsession with an anonymous figure, though their relationship with Minogue can be interpreted in a number of ways.

Writers and producers Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis initially wrote the song for S Club 7 when British artist manager Simon Fuller asked them to do so; he felt that the song wasn’t right for the group. The song was then offered to Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who also declined it, before it was offered to Kylie, who said she loved it instantly, with Cathy Dennis stating that she didn’t “believe it was meant to go to anyone other than Kylie”.
