Aqueous Transmission

Aqueous Transmission

Incubus

“Aqueous Transmission” is the final track on 2001’s Morning View. It is very slow and mellow and is nearly 8 minutes long. The song was made on a Pipa, a form of a lute popular in traditional Chinese music. Michael Einziger was gifted this instrument from American guitarist Steve Vai. Einziger stated in an interview with Loudwire, “Many, many years later, Steve and I were e-mailing each other, and he was telling me that Aqueous Transmission was on repeat in his house. He didn’t realize that I had written that song on his instrument. So when I told him, he thought that was pretty funny.”
