“ATLiens” is the eponymous single of Outkast’s second studio album. It was released as a single album alongside B-side single “Wheelz of Steel” on August 20, 1996, and re-released with the album on August 27, 1996.

The title “ATLiens” is a portmanteau of Atlanta (the group’s hometown) and aliens, defining the duo’s disconnection to the normal world while tributing to their hometown, which the single’s lyrics are focused into.

The single is one of the best singles Outkast ever made, reaching top 35 on Billboard Hot 100 at the time of the single’s release.
