With the growing police brutality and violence within the black community, N.W.A reminds us that strength of the real black people. Any victim of the police brutality or gang violence will always be remembered. The song could also be perceived in a way that only the strongest will survive.
Years later, the song (especially MC Ren’s intro line), has been interpolated by numerous rappers including 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole as a reminder on the strength of the black community.
This hard-as-hell track is the first song proper on N.W.A.’s second (and final) studio album, Efil4zaggin (read it backwards). It’s notable for its killer beat that features an electric guitar, and a chorus that samples Rare Earth’s “I Just Want To Celebrate” in a darkly ironic manner
