A$AP Ferg and affiliate A$AP Rocky team up for an ode to Jamaican dancehall legend Shabba Ranks, on the lead single for Ferg’s debut album, Trap Lord.
Over a sinister Snugsworth beat, Ferg and Rocky trade bars about their sexual endeavors and compare their exotic lifestyles to the legendary Emperor Ranks. The song was successful—reaching platinum certification by the RIAA on November 8, 2019, and peaked at #44 on the Billboard Hot 100 on August 3, 2013.
Accompanying visuals were released on July 15, 2013, and feature the two rappers enjoying a luxurious party in a mansion, along with multiple other A$AP Mob members. Shabba Ranks also has a brief cameo in the music video.
Four months later, on November 23, 2013, a remix was released, which boasted a feature from Shabba Ranks himself, along with Migos and Busta Rhymes.
