“Switchback” is the second song off the self-titled debut album. It was its only single and accompanied by the following low-budget music video which was filmed in an abandoned house in Detroit and features an alternative cut of the song:

Through sharing of this video on various platforms of the time (since YouTube didn’t exist back then) Klayton achieved his breakthrough as Celldweller and got enough notoriety and sells to pay off his debt he accumulated with the contracts he was in as Circle of Dust. The song was featured in many trailers, video games etc..
The song has had 18 prototype versions before Klayton could decide on a final mix – he subsequently dubbed the album version “The $10,000 Mix”. Some of these versions were released on The Beta Cessions and afterwards many remixes by him and others followed.
