“Dead End Justice” is the only song on the band’s debut album to feature both Jett and Currie as lead vocals. It’s also the longest song on the album at 7 minutes and 1 second.
The song is about Cherie as a ‘dead-end kid’ getting busted for having drugs and being sent to juvenile detention until she’s 18.
She hatches a plan to break out, with the help of Joan. While breaking out, she injures her ankle, then urges Joan to save herself.
