“Suicide Blonde” is the first single from the INXS album X. Released in 1990, it was rumored to have been written about Michael Hutchence’s then-girlfriend, Kylie Minogue, who gave him the inspiration for the title when she was required to dye her hair platinum blond for an acting role; she allegedly told Hutchence: “I’m going suicide blonde today.” It was said she “dyed” by her own hand.
