Being it’s titular song and falling in theme with the cyberpunk/techno-vibes of the album, Beta Love is a song about a wistful, hopeless romantic, prototype robot yearning for a a first love. Though the phrase “beta love” implies the relationship will only be a temporary phase–akin to beta testing–the song does not treat it as tragic or anything lesser! This is a novelty in romance songs.
