One of the band’s more controversial songs, given the subject matter. People have postulated that the mooing at the end was the voices in the song “HAY” reversed and slowed down, but it’s actually the other way around, as Paul Leary told the Quietus that their field recordings of cows mooing at a nearby slaughterhouse made it onto the album. The song was voted #44 in John Peel’s 1987 Festive Fifty.
