“Really Love” sees D'Angelo croon over a girl who has been with him since day one. The song is believed to be one of the earliest to be recorded from the album. In 2007, Questlove leaked an unfinished version of it to an Australian radio station, causing friction between two close friends.
D'Angelo released the song as the first single on the day of the album’s release and later performed it live on SNL.
