Assata’s Song (remix)

Assata’s Song (remix)

Paris (Rap)

Paris' “Assata’s Song” marks a departure from the usual anger and vitriol contained in many of his songs, where he takes his time to extol the virtues and the image of the Black woman, as well as criticizing the inherent misogyny prevalent in hip-hop.

This remix was released in 1993 as a single, along with the instrumental version of the remix.

Samples Aaron Hall’s “Don’t Be Afraid.”
