A Mind of Her Own

A Mind of Her Own

Pedro The Lion

This is the fourth song from Pedro The Lion’s second album, Winners Never Quit. The song is from the perspective of a dark horse political candidate that ends up winning the election he’s campaigning for. Publicly, he pretends to campaign for moral values, but privately he’s so morally bankrupt his own wife doesn’t even trust him.

The title of the song is a play on Virginia Woolf’s seminal feminist essay A Room of One’s Own.
