We Were Happy (Taylor’s Version) [From the Vault]

Taylor Swift

“We Were Happy” was a formerly unreleased song by Taylor Swift, detailing her feelings of guilt due to falling out of love with a boy, and the lost future they dreamed of together. It was written in 2005 with Liz Rose, and considered for her sophomore album Fearless before being turned down.

On April 3 2021, Swift announced on Twitter that the fans had cracked the code of the Vault songs, and it would be featured on her re-release of Fearless.
