“Mykel & Carli” (originally known as “Please Pick Up the Phone” and “A Letter to Mykel and Carli (from a High School Friend)”, is the first track from the deluxe editions of Weezer’s self-titled debut album and is a b-side to “Undone – The Sweater Song”. This song was written by both Mykel and Carli Allan, who were huge fans and great friends with Weezer at the time. Four years after the song was written, Mykel, Carli, and their younger sister died in a car accident driving back from a Weezer concert. Weezer’s 2001 Self-Titled “Green Album” is dedicated to the Allan sister’s memory.
