The song tells of a man sneaking in after a night out, doing who-knows-what, only to discover that his house is lit up like a Christmas tree and his wife or girlfriend has cleared everything out. She has gotten tired of his ways, and, tired of talking about it in the past, just wrote “Goodbye” on the wall in lipstick, loaded up and left.
