“La Schmoove” was released as the second single from the Fu-Schnickens debut album F.U. Don’t Take It Personal. A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife Dawg makes an appearance, while Tribe’s producer/DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad provided the beat, which chopped “The Champ” by The Mohawks.

“La Schmoove” peaked at #3 on Billboard’s U.S. Hot Rap Singles chart, which is their second-highest charting single behind their 1993 Shaquille O'Neal collaboration “What’s Up, Doc? (Can We Rock),” which cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
