“All The Way Home” was the third single from Tamar Braxton’s sophomore album Love and War. The percussive ballad finds Braxton’s dramatic soprano voice at its best painting detail into emotional lyrics. Co-penned by star songwriter Sevyn Streeter, “All The Way Home” details the fallout after a fight with a lover, and the making up to follow. Streeter told ThisIsRnB TV the lyrics started with a conversation:
We were just having a conversation about how you get into it with the person that you’re in love with, and you storm out sometimes. You leave, you need to clear your head, and while you’re gone… you go, ‘at the end of the day, I still love this person’ and you end up turnin' your car around!
