Back in the Saddle

Back in the Saddle

Aerosmith

When the band was recording their album Rocks in 1975, producer Jack Douglas talked with songwriter Steven Tyler about using the phrase “back in the saddle” as a way of saying the band was back with a hard-rocking new album.

Tyler had always thought of the phrase not as “making a comeback”, but “having sex more than once a night”, and therefore wrote a song about a cowboy’s sexual escapades.
