I wrote this tune thinking about the madness that is breakup sex. When you know something is at an end but you need a final period or exclamation point. It’s an intimate combination of vindictiveness that steals us from the innocence of what might have been. We backtrack to move on; making love becomes fucking once more. Some people get passive aggressive when they’re watching something they’ve built burn down around them. This song is unique bittersweetness in doing the opposite.
