“Anthropoid” is the code name of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, the Nazi official who was given charge of the “Final Solution” (Holocaust). The song is meant to honor the Czech commandos that carried out the assassination, killing the man whose brutality and terror and earned him the names “The Butcher of Prague”, “The Blond Beast”, and “The Hangman.”
