This song goes through Yxng’s story of struggle that all newcomer rappers face, especially since he build his name completely by himself without the aid/support of other artists. It discusses the life he had to live by being a self-made man and not having others to hold him back from his goals.

The narrator bits are taken from a documentary on the “The Rise of Black Wolf” by National Geographic Wild in case you want to watch the whole thing.

Background Info: This song came to be during a session between Bane and Footsteps back when he was still doing cover beats and felt this beat, Bane went on to write a hook and 1 verse for the song but couldn’t quite finish it. Then in the release of his first music video he included the part that he had for the moment (called it a preview) and then suddenly cut into the other (full) song in the video. Eventually, after going through the comments to the video, Bane finally came up with the second and final verse to the song.
