“Act Like You Love Me” is the 14th track on Shawn Mendes’ 2nd released album , “Handwritten: Revisited”. The song explores the need of closure at the end of a relationship. Mendes explains his feelings on the last night he is seeing his significant other before they leave. Mendes begs them to stay longer although they cannot. He needs them to act like they love him so that he can get closure from the relationship to move on.

“Handwritten: Revisited” was released on 14 April 2015. The album included 6 of the singles from his first album “Handwritten”, 5 live performances at the Greek Theatre of other songs from said album, and 5 new songs.
