After 18 months riding the success of her single “Distance,” Emily announced the coming of her new album The Switch by debuting an animated music video for “The Animals” on YouTube on May 13, 2015. When asked where her “big bad wolf incarnated” lyrics came from, Emily quips:

“It came from an experience with a certain type of person who will just take from you all that you allow them to and just walk away. …and we all have that capacity but I mean, come on, you gotta have a little self-awareness. There should be a balance in a relationship. You can’t just say ‘do this for me’ or else you’re outta here. So that’s what that song is about. I think it felt good to sing it.”
