“Crenshaw and Slauson (True Story)” is a three-part track that finds Nipsey detailing his journey into the rap game, similar to Kanye West’s song “Last Call” from The College Dropout. Nipsey created a documentary style music video for the first part of the song in the strip mall on the corner of Crenshaw and Slauson where he went from a street hustler to a business owner with his store The Marathon Clothing.
